EU proposing regulation energy labelling of refrigerating appliances with a direct sales function European Commission regulation establishes requirements for the energy labelling and the provision of product information of refrigerating appliances with a direct sales function (e.g. supermarket cabinets, beverage coolers, small ice-cream freezers, gelato-scooping cabinets and vending machines). In particular, it defines an energy label with A to G classes and requires suppliers to upload the label data, the product information sheet and technical documentation into a product registration database before products can be placed on the EU market. The draft Commission Delegated Regulation is based on the findings of the technical, environmental and economic studies, which have been carried out with stakeholders.
