Commission Regulation introduces a maximum threshold for the presence of industrially manufactured trans fat in food for the final consumer, in line with recommendations of the World Health Organisation.

Proposed date of adoption: Second quarter of 2019

Proposed date of entry into force: 20 days from publication in the Official Journal of the EU (The provisions shall apply immediately, with transitional arrangements for products not in compliance until 1 April 2020).

Final date for comments: 60 days from notification
