Canada proposed Maximum Residue Limit for Fruits and Vegetables
 
Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA), Health Canada proposed following:
 
1) Abamectin:

Document PMRL2018-11 is to consult on the listed domestic maximum residue limits (MRLs) for abamectin that have been proposed by Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA).

0.1                            Leafy greens (crop sub group 4-13A)2; leaf petioles vegetables
                                  (crop sub group 22B)3

0.02                          Fruiting vegetables (crop group 8-09)4

1 ppm = parts per million

2The MRL of 0.1 ppm is being extended from Crop Group 4 to all of Crop Subgroup 4-13A.

3The MRL of 0.1 ppm is being extended from celery to all of Crop Subgroup 22B, except for cardoon, Chinese celery, and rhubarb which will retain the current MRL of 0.1 ppm.

4The MRL of 0.02 ppm is being extended from Crop Group 8 to all of Crop Subgroup 8-09.

2) Pyrimethanil:

Document PMRL2018-10 is to consult on the listed import maximum residue limits (MRLs) for pyrimethanil that have been proposed by the Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA).

1 ppm = parts per million

2It is proposed that the MRL of 15 ppm replaces the MRL of 14 ppm for apples, crabapples, loquats, mayhaws, pears, Asian pears, and quinces; and, includes all crops of CG 11-09.

3It is proposed that the MRL of 8 ppm replaces the MRLs of 5 ppm for gooseberries and 3 ppm for lowbush blueberries.

4It is proposed that the MRL of 0.5 ppm for tomatoes be extended to all food commodities belonging to CSG 8-09A.

5Replaces the MRL of 0.1 ppm on all crops of CSG 3-07A.
