China proposed National Standard of Heavy duty gear oils and engine fuel Standardization Administration of China (SAC) proposed following: 1) Heavy duty gear oils for automobile (GL-5): Standard regulates on Heavy duty gear oils for automobile (GL-5) which is blend of base stock made by refined mineral oil, synthetic base stock or their mixture and various additives. The standard specifies related test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements. The standard is mainly applicable to automotive axles, particularly the hypoid gears operated under the condition of high-speed/shock-load, high-speed/ low-torque and low‑speed/high-torque. The standard specifies the classification and labelling, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage and safety requirement of aviation piston engine fuel. The standard is applicable to aviation piston engine fuel.
