Kenya Bureau of Standards proposed following standards:

1) KS 194: 2018. Specification for pvc-insulated cables for electricity supply:

This Kenya Standard gives requirements and dimensions for PVC-insulated cables for operation at voltage up to and including 1 900 V to armour or earth and 3 300 V between conductors. The cables have been designed for general (including underground) use where the combination of ambient temperature and temperature rise due to load results in a conductor temperature not exceeding 70ºC.

2) KS 2786:2018. Dried fruits – Specification:

7) DKS 139: 2018. Jams, Jellies and Marmalades- Specification:

This standard prescribes the requirements and methods of sampling and test for jams, jellies and marmalades, as defined in Section 3 below, and offered for direct consumption, including for catering purposes or for repacking if required. This Standard does not apply to:

(a)        products when indicated as being intended for further processing such as those intended for use in the manufacture of fine bakery wares, pastries or biscuits;

(b)          products which are clearly intended or labelled as intended for special dietary uses;

(c)           reduced sugar products or those with a very low sugar content;

(d)          products where the foodstuffs with sweetening properties have been replaced wholly or partially by food additive sweeteners.
